MY BLOG
I observe, I experience, I reflect and I learn.
This blog is my way of sharing experiences, thoughts, and texts that I find useful in my search for a peaceful inner life.
My journey started in 2015 when I started studying Yoga with the guidance of Prasad Rangnekar in Mumbai, India.
Yoga is much more than asana, it is a tradition with many different orientations and tools to help us dig into ourselves to better understand our inner world and thus better interact with the outside world.
I hope you find in my posts helpful information, experiences to relate to and some inspiration to start taking the time to look inwards.
My Yoga Journey
I started practicing Yoga as a physical activity in 2004 doing on and off Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga.

In 2014, I moved with my family to Mumbai, India for a year, and just by chance, I was invited to sign up for a 200-hour Yoga teacher training at the Yoga Prasad Institute. This turned out to be a life-changing experience.
Yoga has become to me a holistic approach to life. The asana practice helps me stay connected to my physical body, and at the same time take care of it. Breathing exercises help me better deal with everyday life, and the study of Yoga philosophy and psychology gives me tools to better know myself and thus have a more mindful approach to life.
Yoga brings me to a calmer and clearer state of mind that not only benefits me but allows me to interact with other people in a more positive and compassionate way.

I teach both asana, meditation, and Yoga philosophy from my own experience. It is important for me to encourage the Yoga practitioner to respect their own body and mind and patiently change what is limiting them.

Since my training, I yearly attend lectures and workshops with my teacher, Prasad Rangekar, to continue deepening my knowledge and understanding of Yoga practices by studying mainly The Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
In February 2020, I completed a 100-hour Meditation Facilitator Training with the same teacher, Prasad Rangnekar, in Munnar, India.

When I am not teaching or studying yoga, I am a Middle School teacher at Markaplassen ungdomsskole in Trondheim. I enjoy spending time with my three wonderful kids and husband, preferably outdoors either hiking, bathing, or skiing. I love sewing, cooking and baking, and generally learning new things.
